  5. That's actually a different autocannon in the Daemon Engine.
Shadowspear version has a "underslung" spiked chain, rather than the solid bar. The teeth on the "bayonet" are also different

    ReplyDelete

  6. Abbaddon's band of ammunition seems different from that of the rumor engine (the latter is shifted, not that of Abbaddon).

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yeah, I've already changed it to the assault cannon dude.

    2. I saw the havoc after your change: well played ! :)

  7. The Vigilus Ablaze cover just partially solved the posts from the 21st and 23rd of February. It's only artwork at this stage, but it's obviously from that same model. Most likely a new Dark Apostle.
Looking forward to seeing the model in it's full glory.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Oh, good spot! I expect we will see those models in the next week or so.

    2. 12th of February is from the 2nd Greater Possessed mini (the one with the claw). You can see it on the 360° of the model on the GW webstore page.

That's now 5 of the 18 Daemon Engine posts fully revealed, with 2 more most certainly coming from a new Dark Apostle mini... leaving 11 more, plus any older Rumour Engine posts that may be part of the upcoming wave.

This may well be the most extensive model range refresh since Dark Eldar in 2010-2011. It's the kind of thing people expected for Orks last "Orktober." And to think it's basically going to happen all over again, on a similar/greater scale with Sisters at the end of the year...

    3. Updated - thanks.
      I agree - it's a huge release!

  8. is the autocannon not the guybfrom shadowspear?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think so. The Shadowspear autocannon does not have the "bayonet" blade.

    2. See my previous comment from the 3rd of March.

  9. The 9-18-2018 one is a Vanguard Primaris throwing a smoke grenades from Shadowspear.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's not the same grenade as Shadowspear's. But that probably comes from the multipart kit.

  10. I come back to an old rumor engine (from 18-04-03): after having very carefully detailed the two images, I have the feeling that this piece of fur does not belong to this flesh hound. Maybe it's a beast of the next Warcry game ...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It was announced by Gw -
"UPDATE: This image has been revealed as part of a Flesh Hound in Realm of Chaos: Wrath and Rapture."

I'm thinking 2019-02-19 is from the Terminator on the far left.
2019-02-20 is a different power fist though.

    1. I agree. I think the 2019-02-20 fist is the one on the far right - the arrows appear to match.

      2019-02-23
      and either 2018-08-28 or 2019-02-26.

The presence of the retinue now has me wondering if this is actually a 40k Erebus, and not specifically a new Dark Apostle.

    2. So with the additional images from the Word Bearers Legion Focus, it's clear that it's the 2019-02-26 post. Still don't know what the 2018-08-28 post is from.

    3. I'm sure both are the same model. It's weird that they used it twice though.

      Delete
    4. I still feel like the fire in the earlier one is different. Maybe it's just the angle, but the fire on the model and in the DE photo seems to blow to the left, while the earlier one seems to blow more to the right...

  33. 04-23 shows up in one of the battletome leaks. we'll have to wait for an official reveal by GW to get better pictures of the model which has it. i'm wondering if 05-07 could also be from that army (the hand and weapon handle fit with the one used by the models, but i'm not totaly sure)
