I will do my best to keep this page up to date. (I take no credit for spotting
most of them, I am just collecting them!)
I have added another page as an alternative for people who only want to
see the
Unsolved Rumour Engine
images. This page with all revealed and unrevealed Rumour Engines is not going
away!

You can click on the date above an image to get the direct URL to that

DeleteA mix of full and partial reveals today
ReplyDeleteFull reveals:
2020-05-19 - Crimson Court Prince Duvalle
2020-09-15 - Cursed City - Gorslav the Gravekeeper
2020-12-01 - Paragon Warsuit
2020-12-16 - Cursed City - Jelsen Darrock
2020-12-19 - Cursed City - Jelsen Darrock
2021-01-18 - Sevireth, Lord of the Seventh Wind
Partial:
At about 10 seconds in to the Warhammer Quest - Cursed City teaser video, you can see a guy wearing a wolf pelt with the head. It's quite likely to be the one from 2020-12-06.
At 20 seconds in, you can see both the halberd from 2020-08-04 on some kind of undead, and the sword from 2020-11-24.
I'm probably missing a bunch of other reveals, especially from the Lumineth video.
And I imagine we'll find a lot more of the previous rumour engine teasers are from the Cursed City.
2020-11-24 matches the sword for the figure on the right on this post https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/02/15/a-new-warhammer-preview-online-is-coming-and-its-a-mortal-realms-special/
ReplyDeleteThanks Igyubl
DeleteI think the 2020 12-15 one is the new Wizard character from Cursed City. The corner embellishments match his and it looks like he has a scroll on his back.

Thanks Blackhawk!
DeleteNot a whole lot of revelations in the March preview (I still count about 38 unsolved images), but there's a lot of teasers and hints towards a whole bunch of upcoming releases.
ReplyDeleteThe hoof in 2021-02-23, for instance, is most likely connected to the Kragnos book, which will likely see new units for Sylvaneth based on the Kurnothi warband from Beastgrave.
And while this may have only given us the 4th (5th if you count Be'lakor) mini reveal for WH40k this year, but that Ork release is looking huge. Maybe I'm reading too much into the video, but it doesn't even look like it will be limited to the beast snagga stuff... some of the "regular" Orks depicted there do not have current equivalent miniatures either... and then looking through the rumour engines, some seem to correlate more with the regular orks than with the beast snaggas.
Really hoping next month is a 40k preview, because right now, after the 2 books and 2 minis that just went up for pre-order, there is only 1 announced book and 5 revealed minis, including Be'lakor.
DeleteAoS on the other hand has 5 books, 20 revealed models (also including Be'lakor) + all the Warhammer Quest stuff that can be used in the regular game.
Surely, if AoS can have 3 future campaign books announced, 40k can at least have the next 1 revealed.
At this stage, I'm expecting War Zone Charadon Act 2 to feature Sisters and Chaos (Daemons), to coincide with the AoS release of Be'lakor (+ other Daemons I believe are coming, based on some of the unsolved rumour engines)...
Nice analysis!
DeleteThe rumour engine from 2020-12-22 is the from the new revealed fell bats.
ReplyDeleteThe exact foot can't be seen on the new pictures because of the obelisk.
Thanks Bang. You might be right - but I'm going to wait until we see the back of the model to be sure.
DeleteIt is a match! 😁
DeleteDefinitely wasn't expecting 2020-10-13 to be from the Mortal Realms... I was certain it was one of the few rumour engines for the 41st Millennium, but it looks like the Mortal Realms focus will continue some more.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/BRMuln8bfLQiXDny.jpg
I know right!? Can't wait to see what it is later today.
DeleteSurprised that of all the AoS/Mortal Realms Rumour Engines still unsolved, none were revealed during the only day of Warhammer Fest confirmed to be for Age of Sigmar.
ReplyDeleteI imagine some could be revealed on the Thursday with the boxed game reveals (new Warcry and Underworlds reveals are basically a give)... but I don't think they're going to put much of a dent into the backlog. There are already 4 rumour engines that are over a year old, and a likely 5th unless it is revealed early, outside of the Warhammer Fest schedule.
I don't think we've ever had this many go unrevealed for so long.
I have a feeling some of them were meant for Cursed City expansions that will now not be released. If they were they might get recycled into other things later, but that could take a year or more!
DeleteI don't know... 2020-02-18 (daemon face armour plate) and 2020-03-17 (daemon skull banner/icon) have more of a Chaos vibe, so would probably make more sense in Warcry.
Delete2020-04-07 (beastman skull) could also be part of a scenic base or a terrain piece for Warcry.
2020-04-21 (crab claw) could easily be part of the Idoneth warband (it's even more crab-like than the typical Slaaneshi claw) we are likely to see on Thursday. It would probably already be released by now had it not been for all the delays.
2020-05-05 (clawed hand holding sword) and 2020-05-12 (bone flute) and could have been part of some Flesh-Eater courts stuff for Cursed City.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the Radukar the Beast and maybe even Belladamma were originally intended for Cursed City. Will be interesting to see if they are "easy-to-build" kits.
Yeah, the Box Games stream and the mystery Saturday stream will probably solve a few between them. I still think 2020-05-12 (the bone flute) is a Nurgling.
DeleteThe little lizard friend on 1-12 is on Kragnos' base
ReplyDeleteIt is! Thanks.

DeleteWell... there's another 2 Rumour Engines I guessed incorrectly (I assumed they were both AoS).
DeleteAryn: same!
Delete2020-04-21 is the crab from the Idoneth Deepkin warband revealed today
ReplyDelete100% is! Thanks!
Delete2021-01-05 and 2020-12-11 revealed as Ork Beast Snaggas grot.
ReplyDelete2020-11-17 does not match Zodgrod Wortsnagga's staff. But it is really similar.
I feel like 2020-11-17 belongs with the same faction that 2020-11-03 and 2020-10-27 are from...
DeleteI've been trying to identify the squighog that 2020-08-11 comes from... but I have concluded it's either a skull, or from something else entirely. If it is a skull, it could be from the Beast Snagga warboss teased in a previous video. He seems to use a skull as a "klaw" of sorts
Could the recent rumours be fimir?
ReplyDeleteToo many fingers for fimir.
DeleteAt this point, I'm quite confident it's going to be a new "breed" of greenskins which could be described as either tall grots, or slender orruks.
That's not to say there couldn't be some kind of fimir model in the box alongside them...
Yeah, you can see some of the new greenskins fight the stormcast in the warhammer animation preview
DeleteDefinitely not fimir at this point
Delete@Francis Paris
DeleteGood catch.
I was hoping AoS 3.0 would get a launch trailer similar to the 40k one last year.... looks like we're getting one.
2020-02-18 Solved
ReplyDeletehttps://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/05/21/1-us-open-series-3-beautiful-locations-6-grand-tournaments-all-the-gaming-bliss/?fbclid=IwAR23vF9WpB8K32HFO3h4B9t7H-Y7p2pUYW3xX6C0ko4MY2KvHdXbVR3TvX8
About time. Figured it was some kind of Slaves to Darkness thing... too bad it's an event exclusive.
DeleteYep! I think the only reason it has hung around so long is the lack of events for the last year-and-change.
Delete2021-05-04 is probably a new Ratling unit for AM. The mine and spool of wire are identical to the grappling hook and mine from one of the Ratlings from the Blackstone Fortress game
ReplyDeleteSo you're saying there may be more hope for AM players yet...
DeleteThe 2020/12/09 is going to be the new model for the dominion box of age of sigmar you can see the silhouette from the post in the Instagram of warhammer community
ReplyDeleteYes I agree! I think we'll also see 2020-12-10 and 2021-05-22 on the same model.
DeleteStill so many unresolved images... but I'm fairly confident now that at least 2 of them are more Kruleboyz:
ReplyDelete2020-10-27 (doesn't match any of the spearheads in Dominion)
2020-12-10
It's safe to say that their reinforcements aren't just going to stop at the Beast-skewer Killbow and Breaka-boss on Mirebrute Troggoth.
I can also see 2020-04-07, 2020-08-11, 2020-09-29, 2021-02-16, and 2021-03-30 possibly being part of future Kruleboyz/Destruction faction releases...
I'm really at a loss regarding 2020-05-05 now, seeing as the Kruleboyz don't have clawed fingers, like some other greenskins. Bloodletters are the only other creatures with similar hands... but that sword doesn't look Khornate at all.
2021-05-24 is on the boss on beast model. In the video when it does the three sixty it's on the beast's shoulder.
ReplyDeleteOh, well spotted JF! Thanks!
DeleteThanks for your work. This is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome! 😁
Deleteseems like 2021-06-15 could be the right hand of the 2020-05-05 one, new flesh eater model sitting in a throne? I hope so ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all this compilation.
I agree, that does feel possible!
DeleteYou are very welcome! 😁
I heard the rumour that the 2021-06-08 is Black Templars, specifically Merek Grimaldus and so that would likely make 2021-04-06 a Black Templar release too.
ReplyDeleteWell it turned out to be his servators but its the same release so I'm calling that prediction a win.
DeleteNailed it!
Delete2021-06-22 is most certainly the Beast Snagga Warboss. This has to be one of the easiest rumour engine posts in a long time.
ReplyDeletehttps://storage.googleapis.com/spikeybits-staging-bucket/2021/03/ed212962-beast-snagga-warboss.jpg
Agreed - already updated to add that image ;)
Delete2020-12-10 is Marshcrawla Sloggoth.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/dI02vMRW4qwyPLuo.jpg
Thanks! Updated.
Delete2020-12-10 seems to be the Marshcrawla Sloggoth from the latest preview (2021-07-03):
ReplyDeletehttps://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/dI02vMRW4qwyPLuo.jpg
Agreed. And teodesu said the same thing ;)
DeleteSo whilst there was nothing new today, the new Gobsprakk, the Mouth of Mork mini is riding a big ol vulture, which makes me think 2021-02-16 and 2020-09-29 will also be something for the Kruelboyz. I also think that the name kruelboyz is bad.
ReplyDeleteAgree, agree and agree. ;)
Delete2021-07-20 definnitely a new Witch Hunter right? stakes, hammer and some kind of holstered machete on his hip
ReplyDeleteFeels like to to me!
Delete2021-09-07... well it was recently said on WarCom, citing the "lack of codexes for the Traitor Legions" for the remainder of the year, that "2022 will be a bumper year for warp-based shenanigans." No doubt this is related to that.
ReplyDeleteCould be from the rumoured Warpsmith, or maybe even an Iron Warriors character if CSM go the route of Space Marines and see a character for each legion.
On another note, with the Orks, Stormcast and Kruleboy releases this month, we're running a little low on reveals. I imagine we'll probably get some big preview at the end of the month. We may even finally see 2020-03-17 after 18 months of waiting.
2020-03-17 was 1 years, 6 months, 11 days ago - so it has broken the previous record for longest unsolved RE by one day.... and counting
DeleteAnd 2020-04-07 is only a couple of weeks behind, with 2020-05-05 a month after that one and 2020-05-12 a week after that.
DeleteIf neither of these are revealed by the end of November, there will be 4 beating the previous record. I doubt it's going to get to that point, so I'm guessing we'll get another preview event sometime in the next 2 months. At the very least, we're likely to see some kind of reveal for the upcoming WarCry Red Harvest, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of AoS preview now that they're running out of things to release there.
Looks like we are getting a preview on 30th October 😁
Delete2021-04-13 2021-05-04 are the GSC Reductus Saboteur
ReplyDeleteStarting to think those March 2020 minis are never coming
It's bad enough that the two from March 2020 have already smashed the previous record for, now the two from May 2020 aren't far from beating that record too.
DeleteIt is very possible that some Rumour Engine will never see the light of day. We know the release schedule has been royally messed-up by the last 2 years.
DeleteI don't know if they would ever not release something.
DeleteEven if they had been part of some kind of planned Chaos themed Cursed City expansion, they would probably find a way to re-use them elsewhere.
isn't 2020-04-07 on the new orc model ?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. The horns on the Brute Boss's trophy have metal tips.
Delete2021-11-23 ; on the blacklibrary preview of soulslayer the idoneth in the topleft has that sword setup it seems. ( didnt make a screenshot )
ReplyDeleteThanks! Added as a "teased" 😁
DeleteI think youre missing one this RE https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/08/10/the-rumour-engine-10th-august-2021/
ReplyDeleteWe damn! I'm 100% sure I added it but it looks like I somehow deleted it afterwards!! Thanks 😁
DeleteFixed!
DeleteThanks again 🥰
I was thinking about this one the other day... Skimmed the unsolved ones looking for it, assumed it must have already been revealed.
DeleteToday's WarComm article included a couple of dozen Rumour Engine reveals but I won't but updating this oage today. I have posted a thread on Twitter. Merry Christmas everyone!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm not on twitter, I'll comment on your posts here:
Delete2021-12-06 is not from the Rangers. The rangers pictured have backpacks/rifle cases on their backs. The teaser image does not have it.
Could be from the Shroud Runner riders though.
Also, kind of funny that 2021-12-21 ended up being a close up of a dudes crotch.
Also, 2021-12-01 is an alternate head option from the Shroud Runners too. You can see it near the end of the reveal video when it shows the Shroud Runner name.
DeleteOh good spots both!
DeleteUpdated

ReplyDeleteUpdated! Thanks 😁
DeleteThere's a LOT in that new Sneak Peek
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyjtY8L2hHM
I know! I will try to update the corresponding RE listings as "teased" over the next few days.
DeleteUpdated!
Deletenew inquisitor seems to have the 2 missing RES from 2020's advent engine.
ReplyDeleteWe also finally got an official reveal for the orruk model with the vulture
Yes!! Updated 😁
DeleteLooks like oldest pic with chaos staff was revealed as a limited miniature today
ReplyDeleteUpdated! (I've added it as "Teased" as we can't see the whole mini.)
Delete2021-10-12 not the same. One is on a lamppost and the other in a hand. So 2 ghostly lamps incomming
ReplyDeleteOh! You are absolutely right. Very interesting!!
DeleteI really don't expect to see model reveals associated with 2021-12-5/10/15/20/24. The text was all from the Eldritch Omens video, and the backgrounds are all illustrations/painting rather than photos.
ReplyDeleteAt best, they may be part of artworks in the Eldritch Omens or Codex Aeldari/Chaos Space Marine books.
Same, though they had had artwork in "proper" RE images in the past.
Delete2017-03-01 and 2017-03-08 for example!
Delete2022-03-22 was not an error. WarCom said that while the bit has been seen before it is coming with a new model. Suffice to say another mega gargant or related upgrade sprue must be coming sorta like they did with 40k Knights.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet they removed the image and replaced it...
DeleteNot sure where you are reading that from WarCom, because the 2 Facebook comments from the WarCom team regarding the mishap are as follows:
Delete"The Rumour Engine had a little mishap. We gave it a friendly whack with a hammer and it spit out a new image for you."
"The Rumour Engine sees the FUTURE and the PAST at the same time.... it is so easy to get them confused. New image is up now."
And it's not the first time the Rumour Engine has showed something which had already been revealed... but it is the first time it showed something already released.
So they confirmed it was a mistake 😁
DeleteA lot to talk about from the Adepticon preview:
ReplyDelete2021-02-16 - Clearly the same bird species from the Knight Abominant... I just can't find the exact same one. So unless there's some other model in the future that has them, this model either comes with options to build the birds differently so that you can build multiple Knight without the birds all being exactly the same, or the model has undergone some tweaks over the past 13 months.
2021-03-23 & 2022-01-04 - Both from the Chaos Knight Abominant's weapon.... just can't quite get the right angle of the image from the first one yet.
2021-09-28 & 2021-10-12 - Both from the Nighthaunt's new Awlrach the Drowner model.
2022-01-18 - While this wheel isn't from the Necromunda Outrider Quads, the design is identical. Probably a good hint that the "road train" from the previous animated trailer is indeed coming.
2022-01-25 & 2022-02-08 - Both come from the Necromunda Ash Wastes terrain. In the WarCom Article, they have one structure painted in a red colour scheme that has both elements on it.
2022-02-22 - It's shown from a different angle, but in the Chaos Space Marine teaser video, there is a brief glimpse of the very same wing (the "tear" holes match up). So we know with absolute certainty that they are from a new Chaos Space Marine model... most likely new Possessed.

I'll get the page updated as soon as the kids go to school! 😁😁😁
DeleteI see you've done it but you missed one : 2021-02-16, the vulture is ont the top left of the Chaos Knight Abominant ;)
DeleteI can't see the Rumour Engine vulture in the WarComm photos. The open beak and the shape of the branch don't appear to be on the ones shown.
Deletehttps://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/967xhqs9y5AFUiIu.jpg
DeleteHard to see at this angle, but I'm quite certain this is the one, 2021-02-16.
I figured it had to be an option in one of these new/updated Knight kits.
I asked Tom Walton (the designer of the kits) on Twitter if 2021-02-16 was in the new Chaos Knights kits. He didn't reply but he liked the tweet, whatever that means!

You aren't the only one to say this and now I think you are right. Updated.
Delete2021-06-01 seen in
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBFgZzYEr-8
Nope, not the same. Pretty close, but different. Another Squat probably.
DeleteThe bird engine of 2021 is from https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/967xhqs9y5AFUiIu-665x665.jpg
ReplyDeleteimage (https://i.imgur.com/MeGoC9B.jpg) that has the rumor engine from feb 16th 2021 (https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/o5TFgMX7MrDUmlqr.jpg)
DeleteYou aren't the only one to say this and now I think you are right. Updated.
Delete2021-11-02 that claw. Looks like its from the dustback bugs from the ashwaste nomads
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is - the textures are different.
Delete2021-07-27 kinda looks like the back of the squat bike, but it's slightly different. Likely for another squat model
ReplyDeleteI'm going to keep an eye on this one!
DeleteLikewise, 2021-06-01 is the same style "boot" as the Hernkyn rider... but clearly this one is on foot. It's different to the Hearthkyn Warrior, so it's likely from some kind of Hernkyrn infantry Character or unit.
Delete2021-11-02 looks like the feet of the new sylvaneth lancers
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
Delete2022-05-17 Is likely a League Ironkin, but a different build than the one shown in the recent preview. The hand looks to be the same, but not holding a gun.
ReplyDeleteYes, agreed. It is similar to the floating ironkin shown in the art.
DeleteThe leader of the new leagues squad has a weird armor décoration similar to 2021-07-06, but with a boar instead, so that RE is likely for the leagues too
ReplyDeleteSee something familiar? 😁 https://m.imgur.com/tlalkbJ
ReplyDelete2022-07-19 AND 2022-07-26
DeleteExactly. Looks too similar. And don't forget 2022-06-14 looks fitting too for catachan base
DeleteAgreed, agreed and agreed!
DeleteAnd here is the old miniature
Deletehttps://i.imgur.com/3Yf7l59_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium
17/08/2021 looks like the Cthonian Berserks with a plasma axe. The fist and the handle seems to correspond
ReplyDeleteGot it! Thanks
Delete2020-03-17 is shown in more detail in the Warhammer + year 2 update today.
ReplyDelete5-11-21 is the new ogors bloodpelt hunter
ReplyDelete2021-07-13 i believe is the non-buff guy from the gorechosen of dromm underworlds band
ReplyDeleteAnd just like that, we now only have 4 teaser images more than a year old... (one of which is most certainly going to overtake the previous record holder)
ReplyDelete2021-05-11 = Ogor Mawtribes Bloodpelt Hunter
2021-06-29 = Leagues of Votann Brôkhyr Iron-master (E-COG)
2021-07-06 = Leagues of Votann Grimnyr
2021-07-13 = Gorechosen of Dromm warband (Dromm)
2021-08-10 = Leagues of Votann Grimnyr
2022-03-08 & 2022-04-05 = Sons of Behemat, King Brodd
2022-05-17 = Leagues of Votann Brôkhyr Iron-master (E-COG)
2021-08-24 is Dromm as well.
ReplyDelete2021-08-24 is Gorechosen 😉
DeleteI thought so... but for some reason when I looked at the two I just couldn't see it. Not sure why, it's plain to see.
DeleteSo that makes it only 3 over a year old now.
Thanks all. Updated!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure 2022 16-08 is from the new warcry tzeentch warband. It looks like one of their bird amulets, but viewed from the back
ReplyDeleteYeah, you could be right! I'll keep an eye on that one when we see the 360s, or a different angle.
Delete2022-08-16 It's on the back of the guy with the obelisk.
DeleteYou are right! (And I forgot to check!). Thanks 😁
Delete2022-05-10 could be an alternate weapon for one of the new chameleon skinks for warcry. The leader is holding two javelins of a very similar design.
ReplyDeleteIts definitely the same style! It feels bigger than a skink weapon to me but I can't be sure. We don't know when the Seraphon book is coming yet, do we?
DeleteNot that I've heard, but if it's not the chameleon my money is on an Underworlds set of lizards.
DeleteWe already got the underworlds lizards, and now the warcry set. I think there will be a medium release for seraphon with Cold ones riders (similar to the Sylvaneth release earlier)
DeleteWhooohooo! Big day 😁
ReplyDelete2022- 11-01 could be a new Ambull for Necromunda or Killteam? There's also a huge spider missing an eye which harks back to mid 90s Necromunda Raft Spiders, giant creatures that were hunted like whales with jewel-like eyes...
ReplyDeleteUnconfirmed, but 2022-10-25 and 2022-12-27 are most likely both part of the same model that whose silhouette was shown off in the 2023 30k preview video/article. Second silhouette in the video and in the article. The claw matches quite exactly, and the wiring seems very close.
ReplyDeleteI agree - I added screenshots on the 29th 😁
